"I'm not the flowers type of girl"

DO NOT BELIEVE THIS LIE!... at least not right away. I mean, everyone loves receiving flowers no matter how old you are. right? It's a great gift option especially if you are clueless on what to give her. Unless she is allergic to flowers then don't give her that.

The key is the element of surprise. A simple thing could mean a lot given at the right moment and with the right intention.

If your girl tells you this lie, try surprising her with some and see her reaction. Usually, this will make her smile. If she seems happy with the gesture, then flowers are okay. If she complains and tells you that she prefers something else, then your girl is hard to please but nonetheless, get her what she prefers if you can.

Signs That I Will Have My Period

I have a regular cycle which means I get my period every month. I started to become more aware of the signs and took note of them so that I will be more aware the next time it happens. Here are some signs that I experience before my period:

1. A week before my period, I start to eat A LOT. I get hungrier more than usual and I snack every minute.

2. A couple of days before it  starts, I crave sweets. I will usually crave chocolates and sweet pastries. If I don't eat sweets, I will be moody the rest of the day.

3. The day before my period, there will be a yellowish to brownish discharge. I wear panty liners everyday to avoid staining my underwear.
4. Tender breasts. Tenderness will be gone once I get my period.

5. Mood swings. This is my boyfriend's favorite(not really). I hate his existence when I have my mood swings and I always pick a fight with him. He actually knows my cycle more than I do. So he just laughs it off and reminds me that I will be getting my period.

6. Sensitive to smell. I have this insane superhuman sense of smell and every scent triggers me.

That's basically it. These are common signs and I am aware that there are a lot more but I only listed the signs that I experience.  Do you have the same signs as I do?

My First Period

I started my puberty stage a bit later than my friends. I remember a time when all of my friends were asking each other if they have already gotten their period and sure enough, I was the only one left behind. I just laughed it off and they didn't mind but, it was awkward as hell. I wanted to be grown up like them.

I was 15 at that time when I first got my period and It was really scary. I went for my morning pee routine, sat on the toilet bowl, and lo and behold, BLOOD. I initially thought that I had some form of ovarian cancer and that I was gonna die. I was panicking inside, a bit shaken by the blood, but I kept my cool and told my mom about it.  My mom acted like it was nothing and had me do the local tradition of jumping off from three steps of the stairs, so I did. I already knew what a period was so there was no awkward talk with my mom about puberty stuff. I went to school happy that day knowing I was turning into a lady.

And starting from that day, I get a monthly visit from the period fairy who pokes my lining causing it to fall off along with my blood. I am happy that my menstruation is regular. I expect the same thing every  month for five to seven days.

Puberty didn't do much for my body, I feel like I'm still the same lanky, frail-looking girl from high school. Oh well
